Event Details

Stalwarts of Henry’s Blueshouse and regulars at such blues festivals as Upton-on-Severn and Newcastle-under-Lyme, the Nitecrawlers aim to re-create the sheer enjoyment of the original R&B clubs of the 60s by serving up archetypal hard-driving, foot-tapping Chicago blues – no-nonsense authentic blues. With a lifetime of experience between them, the four band members have appeared with some of the biggest names in the music business namely Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, Buddy Guy and Screamin’ Jay Hawkins.

The leader is Roger Bromley, guitarist and singer who first emerged as frontman with the hotly tipped Willie & The Poorboys who in 1980 featured on that legendary double vinyl album Brum Beat – Live At The Barrel Organ. Mysterious Terry Reep features on slide guitar with Roger Hudson on bass guitar and Chris Lloyd on drums. Terry and Roger provide the backing vocals.

The Nitecrawlers released their debut album ‘Unlock The Blues’ in 2020. The album features 10 classic songs by the blues greats, from Excello swamp blues star Slim Harpo to Fabulous Thunderbird Kim Wilson, through to Chess Records legends Little Walter and Willie Dixon to The Boss of The Blues, Muddy Waters.

This band of Blues Brothers are on a mission to bring back the good times of the 1960s rock and blues clubs – the heyday of British Blues.
